Pamunkey Regional Library has new Director

Tom Shepley is the new Director of the Pamunkey Regional Library. Shepley had previously been a Library Services Administrator for the Chesterfield County Public Library and has more than 13 years of experience in library systems in four states, including experience in library finance and administration. "He is very well versed in the latest technology," said Anne G. Cross, Chairman of the Search Committee which interviewed Shepley and other candidates. "I think he will be an articulate advocate for the libraries in all four of our counties and elsewhere." The Pamunkey Regional Library serves a population of more than 140,000 in four counties, about two-thirds of whom live in Hanover. The Library has a collection of over 300,000 volumes in the 10 branch libraries, six of which are in Hanover. Use of the materials at the Pamunkey Regional Library has grown by more than 30% in the last five years.
